Kliff Kingsbury
Kliff Kingsbury, the NFL coach has been named the new head coach of the Arizona Cardinals.
Kliff, -a New Braunfels, TX native born August 9, 1979 –is in his first year as an NFL head coach and many don’t seem to understand his recent hire to lead the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals.
Kingsbury comes to the Cardinals after a six-year stint with Texas Tech at just 35-40. The 39-year-old also went from a fired head coach to a hired USC offensive coordinator.
Kliff, a former player himself, was coached by his father, Tim, at New Braunfels High School. He was named Associated Press National Offensive Player of the Year in 2002. He won the Sammy Baugh Trophy the same year.
While attending New Braunfels High School, he was a member of the football, basketball, baseball and track teams. He then attended Texas Tech University –where he became a record-setting quarterback for the team from 1998 to 2002. Kliff received his degree in management in December 2001.
In 2013, he was named the head coach of the Texas Tech Red Raiders. He was previously the offensive coordinator with the Texas A&M Aggies. Kingsbury, who had non-head-coaching stops at Houston and Texas A&M before Texas Tech, has been around some of the most successful quarterback stories of the past decade including, Case Keenum, Johnny Manziel, Davis Webb, Baker Mayfield and — most importantly — Patrick Mahomes.
Only time will tell if Kingsbury will pull it off at Arizona but it doesn’t look as if he has many supporters for now. The hunky coach is not even married and is also apparently single. There is no indication of him being in a current romantic relationship with a special lady, though he has been recently linked to Fox Sports host and reporter Holly Sonders.
