21-year-old Football Running Back Derrick Henry became this year’s Heisman Trophy winner! The University Of Alabama player continues to grab headlines after receiving the Heisman over the weekend.

Most recently, the typically reserved fella, did Nick Saban impression while on the Dan Patrick Show Monday morning in New York.

The 6-foot-3 Henry made his dream come true on Saturday night. He is Alabama’s second Heisman Trophy in school history over finalists Christian McCaffrey of Stanford and Deshaun Watson of Clemson –with 1,832 points.

Henry, who admitted he was nervous before the ceremony, delivered a seven-minute speech in which he thanked everyone from his family to Scott Cochran.

2015 has sure been good for Henry. His 1,986 rushing yards crushed the school record (1,679) and beat Herschel Walker’s SEC mark of 1,891 yards. In all, he broke seven Alabama single-season records while climbing the charts in a few more career categories.

The Alabama tailback stood proud while holding the Trophy and enjoyed every minute of it. But winning awards is something that he must be used to by now.

Earlier last week, he also became the recipient of the Doak Walker Award as the country’s top running back, as well as the Maxwell Award.

It’s only logical his high school years were also impressive. He dominated the Yulee High School football field while he conquered 2,465 yards and 26 scores! He was named a first-team All-Coast winner in both his sophomore and junior years, and received the title of National High School Player of the Year as a senior. He set the Florida high school record as a senior with 327.8 yards per game as a senior, and 4,261 yards and 55 touchdowns at the end of the season.

Derrick who was born born to teenage parents in Yulee, Florida; credits his Grandmother Gladys for his success. The fierce player comes from a big family and all of his 12 aunts and 25 cousins are supportive of his greatness.

Not much is known about his personal and private life. His social media doesn’t make a reference to any romantic relationship for the moment but he does have several photos of an adorable baby girl. Could it be his daughter? Does he has a girlfriend? or maybe baby mama already?

We can’t tell for now, but as a future NFL player, we’ll hear from him soon enough.
