Meet Sherry Gruden

Sherry Gruden is the lovely wife of Redskins head coach, Jay Gruden. Sherry has been an NFL wife for some time now and knows all about it.

Her 48-year-old husband is a former quarterback turned coach who’s won four ArenaBowls as a player and two more as a head coach.

Football is sure important for Jay’s family. His father, Jim, a long-time college and NFL assistant coach, was a former regional scout for the San Francisco 49ers. His brother Jon was an NFL head coach, turned ESPN analyst. He has another brother, James who is a radiologist, according to Wikipedia.

Jay spent 14 years either coaching or playing in the Arena League. There was also a stop in the United Football League between work as an offensive assistant coach for his brother in Tampa. Then, in 2011, the Bengals gave Jay the offensive coordinator job and he turned them into a machine.

While on the other side we have, Sherry Harpring Gruden. She graduated in the class of 1987 from the Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville, Kentucky. she went on to University of Louisville, where she and Jay met. They have been married for 25-years.

While her hubby was busy in the college ranks, Sherry Gruden worked a real estate agent and buyers specialist at Coldwell Banker. The blonde also worked in the past for Matt Davies, a real estate specialist in Orlando, Florida.

Sherry Gruden is the mother of the couples three sons: JJ, Joey and Jack Gruden. Sherry is currently in her mid 40’s but what is really hard to believe is that she is already a grandmother. Sherry Gruden is the grandma of JJ’s son who was born in 2014.

Sherry’s eldest son JJ currently lives in Tampa and is doing an internship at FFCA. Son Joey, was originally going to play Division III football after playing safety in high school in Ohio but opted to attend a larger school. Youngest son, Jack goes to Sycamore High School, Cincinnati, OH.

It is said Sherry Gruden doesn’t like to be on the spotlight, however she has gotten involved in a number of charities in the past. Two years ago, a video where she is seen dancing –all for a good cause –emerged.

The Washington Redskins will be playing later today, against the Green Bay Packers. Think Sherry Gruden will be on sight?
